What is the easiest way to travel to CANADA?

Let me start by saying that while I am a Canadian lawyer who in the previous 25 years has been on the Ontario Bar Association Immigration Committee and worked with the law firm which wrote the leading texts on Canadian immigration and citizenship law, my practice is geared toward immigration and tax solutions for HNW individuals globally. While I know the Canadian skilled worker area (which relates to you), I no longer accept this type of case as I have a different more complex skill set aimed at a different target market.  In short, you can consider my advice as informed but not self-interested.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada is the official Canadian government website (which Mr.Jacobs notes below). It is designed by the same government department who will be deciding whether you meet the standard necessary to grant you status in Canada.

There are really two different approaches here and unfortunately you have to decide on which one works best for you.

Approach One is "Only follow the instructions on the official government website": The plus here is that you do not have to pay a lawyer or "consultant" an additional fee to assist you. The downside is that this is like asking the Tax Authorities how to complete your tax return. Their advice may not be in your best interest and fail to point out ways to navigate their system more quickly or successfully. In addition, there are some major hurdles to overcome in the new Express Entry System (Express Entry) which immigrants prior to January 2015 ( Like Mr. Jacobs) never experienced. The most significant is the Labour Market Impact Assessment (What is a Labour Market Impact Assessment?) . The system appears simplified on the government website but is in fact infinitely more complex than the system that existed up till the end of last year.

Approach Two is "Retain a qualified advisor who will only act in your best interest": Let me first say that there are two types of advisors, "Qualified and regulated lawyers/solicitors/advocats" and "Consultants". While there are many informed hardworking and honest consultants out there, there are also a multitude of uniformed, lazy and dishonest ones. I always recommend hiring a lawyer for the simple fact that you have a regulatory body (i.e. law society) to turn to for recourse should the lawyer screw up your file or take your money without doing work. With consultants you are out of luck.

The main advantage of engaging a qualified lawyer is that they will first determine whether you have a reasonable chance of success. The government fees are substantial, and the lawyer can save you this money along with letting you know early on that Canadian immigration is not an option in your life. The second thing is that they will help you weed out any bogus employers (an area ripe with scams since a job offer in Canada is now critical). Third once a real job offer is secured, they will assist in getting the LMIA completed (which is not easy or straightforward). Finally they will be able to identify any documentation, medical or criminal issue that may be present in your case (even if not obvious to you). The negative here is that a qualified lawyer will cost you money.

In deciding which path to take, there are some practical things to consider. If one simply does not have the money for a lawyer, then Approach One is their only option. If they do have the funds available, I would highly recommend that they engage a qualified lawyer. This move is probably the most important one in their lives and those of their children and grandchildren. If you have the means, you should do it right.

Now to answer the big question, who do I feel is a qualified lawyer? Remembering that I refer people like you who approach me to what I think are highly qualified lawyers (whose fees reflect the value they bring) I can tell you that I send people either to:

Sergio Karas (Page on www.karas.ca) or
Colin Singer (Immigration Attorney Profile)

I also want to add Mr. Max Chaudhary's name to the list (Toronto Immigration Lawyer). Although I have not dealt with him personally, he has an excellent reputation in the local immigration bar. His expertise is also reflected in the quality and number of answers he has provided here on Quora.

The easiest way to emigrate to Canada is via Student Visa or Express Entry Permanent Visa but there are terms and conditions everywhere.

If you have finished your degree within the last 2 years, I would suggest to apply for a Student visa as that would be a hassle free process but it will cost 3 times the money than a PR file. (For International Student, Score 6.5 overall bands in IELTS)

If you opt for Express Entry Visa, you will need atleast Bachelors/Masters degree, 4 or more years experience and atleast 6.5 bands in IELTS. Your points tally should be above 400 points to be eligible for a fair chance. French language exam score can be little helpful. TEF: Test d'Evaluation de Français. Higher score in IELTS will make a significant difference to your points tally.

You can calculate your points from below link:

Usual cut off for express entry is 470 points, if you manage to score in between 400–470, I would suggest you to apply for Provincial Nominee Program. Various provinces across Canada are looking to bring immigrants to help develop their respective provinces. Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia are two main provinces accepting most immigrants.

Have a look on their official website and let me know your qualifications and experience details so we can figure out which path is suitable to you.

Hope this helps :)

Easiest way to go to Canada is the Express Entry Permanent Visa . If you are a Graduate with 1-2 years of experience and having decent English . I would like to suggest you to apply for PR visa. Because if you want to go student visa it will going to cost you a lot.

thank you for the A2A.

I brought my British family here several years ago. I can tell you that Canada has a well documented process for entering into the country. What is best that it is laid out very clearly on the government website:
Immigrate to Canada

We never used an immigration lawyer. We just read the website very carefully, and followed the instructions. Everything you need can be downloaded from there. Furthermore there have been several news reports inside Canada of the very poor value which lawyers give. So, if I had to do it again, I once again, would just follow the instructions, do it myself and save the $5000+ that these guys charge. Additionally the Canadian government will charge you approximately $2000 just for the joy of applying.

Just to manage your expectation: Canada uses a points system. The more attractive you are to the Canadian government, the more points you receive. You have to get more than 50 just to qualify. Your education, your job, your work experience, your extended family and of course your age, all play an important role. If you are under 40, educated in a prominent university, have a phd on nuclear physics, have no criminal history and have young children and wife, no physical problems in your family. Well, I can almost tell you now that you will be accepted.  If you are 45+, a taxi driver, no education, bad health, then the opposite will be true.

The method depends on whether you want to go to Canada to live there permanently of you want to visit Canada as a tourist.

If you want to visit Canada as a tourist, you can apply for a tourist visa to Canadian consulate nearest to you. Along with your visa application you need to provide a proof of funds availability for all your expenses in Canada. This can be in the form of your bank account statement showing enough balance.

On the other hand if you want to go to Canada and live there permanently; you need to apply and obtain Per

Biggest bank in the country mistakenly transfers $34 billion to customer

Biggest bank in the country mistakenly transfers $34 billion to customer

A bank has erroneously transferred $34 billion to a customer in a routine operation, more than the entire bank is worth.

The Deutsche Bank in Germany which is considered to be the biggest bank in Germany on Friday admitted the error.

The unprecedented mistake happened on March 16 when Deutsche Bank carried out a transfer to an account at Deutsche Boerse’s Eurex clearing house, a spokesman told AFP.

The operation was meant to involve a far smaller sum, which the bank has not revealed, and highlights IT and control issues at the banking giant.

Accounting errors happen most days, but the sum involved in this case is highly unusual and even exceeds Deutsche’s market capitalisation of 24 billion euros.

The incident, which came shortly before John Cryan was ousted as chief executive, was quickly fixed and no harm was done, the institution said.

But it raises questions about the risk management and control processes within the bank, which Cryan was meant to have greatly improved since his arrival in 2016.

Given sole command of the lender in 2016 after the departure of co-CEO Juergen Fitschen, Cryan’s task was to restructure Deutsche and clean up the toxic legacy of its pre-financial crisis bid to compete with global investment banking giants.

But Deutsche Bank has yet to return to profitability, while the share price has slumped more than 50 percent in the past two years — around 30 percent this year alone.

In a sign of the bank’s ongoing internal tussles, Deutsche on Wednesday announced the departure of its IT and infrastructure chief Kim Hammonds, who had reportedly called the bank the “most dysfunctional company” that she had worked for.

Erroneous transfer of funds from banks to their customers in not uncommon, but this seems to be a very grievous mistake.

Reports have surfaced on transfers of this nature in many African countries, but at the end of the day, the banks mostly suffer as it is either the customer has squandered the entire funds or will be no where to be found when they realise their mistake

Rant 0084

I think sanity comes in when you know what you're doing. You know what you're doing is bad yet you keep doing it.

You know what you're doing is dangerous yet you keep doing it. It's not like you do not know, you're telling yourself it's okay, it's fine yet it's evil but you keep doing it.

I think sanity isn't all about doing the good things, doing the things set for you to do. Sanity is also applied when you break bonds. You know the rules before breaking the bonds.

I think sanity comes in when you know the essence and gravity of what you're doing.

When you do something bad. Not that you console yourself to fit yourself into the shoe to pretend that it is good, you know it's bad.

When you do something good. You know that you've got solace in it. You did it with your sense, your complete sense; in its whole completeness. You're sane.

Even bad things done with the complete and sane sense can be justified in the sense that you were conscious of all you (are) do(ing).

See, if you do things with your total sense. You know the right from the left and you know the left from the right. You've weighed the consequences and the right part. You know it all. Yet you're doing it. If they tell you you're not alright, it's all bla bla bla.

Although, there are some bad things you will do that will paint you mad, insane and really really stupid. It all depends on you. Your people and the wah you present yourself.

Buhari done do another thing ooo!!

John Ameh, Abuja

Members of the House of Representatives did not mince words on Tuesday when they said President Muhammadu Buhari committed an “impeachable offence” by authorising the purchase of $462m jets for the military without appropriation by the National Assembly.

Buhari is buying 12 Tucano aircraft from the US with the money.

The planes will be delivered in 2020.

The lawmakers became angry as soon as the Speaker, Mr. Yakubu Dogara, read a letter from Buhari, informing the House that the expenditure was done in “anticipation of approval” by the National Assembly.

They noted that the letter was a “mere afterthought,” as the expenditure had already been done.

The anger caused a brief rowdiness on the floor, forcing Dogara to intervene in a bid to calm down the lawmakers.

The eventual decision on Tuesday was that the letter should be properly tabled on another date for debate by the House so that it would take a position on the next line of action.

But before the resolution, it was the Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts, Mr. Kingsley Chinda, who raised a point of order to draw the attention of members to the alleged “constitutional breach” by Buhari.

He said both the 1999 Constitution and other laws in the country did not recognise spending by the President in “anticipation of approval” by the legislature.

Chinda stated, “This matter ($462m) came up last week. Today, Mr. President has admitted that the expenditure has already been incurred.

“We are supposed to be a watchdog, but as it is, we cannot bite. This is an impeachable offence and there is no misconduct that is more serious than this.

“I propose that we commence the impeachment of Mr. President, based on this infraction.”

Another member, Mr. Karimi Sunday, observed that Buhari admitted in the letter that he had actually spent the money already.

“The President has written to say that he spent the money without appropriation.

“This is the time to rise up as a legislature. There is a need for this House to reply him, to inform him that he breached the constitution and that he should be ready to face the consequences,” Sunday added.

The Chairman, House Committee on Capital Market and Institutions, Mr. Tajudeen Yusuf, wondered what the urgency was in releasing $462m for aircraft that would not be delivered until 2020, such that the President could not wait for the legislature to approve it.

“This is an impeachable offence. There are no two names for it. Why are we paying for aircraft that will be supplied in 2020 today without appropriation? What is the urgency?,” he queried.

Other members, including Mr. Chukwuka Onyema, Mr. Sergious Ose-Ogun, Mr. Samson Okwu and Mr. Aliyu Madaki, agreed that Buhari breached the constitution.

“A breach is a breach and we can’t be dancing around it. Approval comes before expenditure. Even in our homes, our wives will get approval first to spend. The procedure is not for them to come and brief us after they have already spent the money. Let us send a message to the President that he breached the constitution,” Onyema said.

However, some members called for caution, advising their colleagues to patiently follow the rules of the House in tackling Buhari’s letter, no matter the anger the President’s action generated.

One of them, the Chairman, House Committee on Rules/Business, Mr. Orker Jev, reminded members that the letter was “a communication from Mr. President,” which could not be acted upon on the first day.

Jev explained that by the House rules, the letter would be tabled for a proper debate on another legislative day where the House would take a position after the debate.

“These issues about breach of the constitution can be raised on the day of the debate, not before,” he said.

The Deputy Whip of the House, Mr. Pally Iriase; the Chairman, House Committee on Financial Crimes, Mr. Kayode Oladele; the Chairman, Committee on Agricultural Services, Mr. Mohammed Monguno; and Mr. Munir Dan-Agundi, aligned themselves with Jev.

Shouts of “no”, “no”, “no”, drifted the session close to rowdiness, forcing Dogara’s intervention thrice.

Dogara ruled that Buhari’s letter would appear to be asking the House to appropriate the $462m, which still fell under communication from the President.

He added that by the House rules, the matter ought not to have been discussed at all on Tuesday, other than reading it to members.

The Speaker stated further that it was the point of order raised by Chinda that necessitated the comments made by members on Tuesday.

“I will say that let us use our rules in resolving this matter. We will put it formally for debate on another day,” he said.

The House eventually resolved to table Buhari’s letter for debate on another day.

The fastest players in the Premier League: Mohamed Salah misses out on top 10 - but who are the speed demons?

Some of these players, you'd expect to see in such a list. Others, however, will almost certainly surprise you

The Premier League is one of the most intense football leagues in the world.

Players who stand out in the English top flight are often blessed with pace.

But who would stand a chance of keeping up with Usain Bolt?

Our friends at Opta have recorded every player’s top speed in the league this season.

The top 20 includes the well-known speed demons, but there are certainly some surprises too.

Here are the top 20 fastest players in the Premier League:

=20. Jose Izquierdo (Brighton)

Jose Izquierdo is a willing runner for Brighton
Top speed : 34.83km/h

Newly promoted Brighton have used Izquierdo’s pace to frighten Premier League’s defences all year.

The Colombian winger has been a willing runner in behind for the Seagulls and has been pivotal to their success.

=20. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Liverpool)

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain fits nicely in Liverpool's high-energy team
Top speed : 34.83km/h

Oxlade-Chamberlain has settled in well at Liverpool and has been enjoying a new role in central midfield, offering energy and, clearly, a lot of speed.

=20. Jordan Ibe (Bournemouth)

Jordon Ibe is a tricky - and speedy - customer
Top speed : 34.83km/h

Ibe is well known for being a speed demon in the league, and he regularly uses his pace to trouble opposition defences.

19. Sadio Mane (Liverpool)

Sadio Mane's blistering pace helps Liverpool on the counter attack
Top speed : 34.84km/h

Mane has been one of the quickest and most dangerous forwards in the league in recent years.

And this season has been no different, as he's been a constant threat in an impressive Liverpool team.

18. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

Mohamed Salah is quick - but not quick enough to make the top 10
Top speed : 34.93km/h

Salah has been the best player in the league this season, netting 30 goals so far.

His electric pace combined with his clinical finishing has made him a force to be reckoned with. The only surprise is that he doesn't appear higher in this list.

=16. Joshua King (Bournemouth)

Joshua King is a key part of the Bournemouth attack
Top speed : 34.94km/h

A key part of a speedy front line at Bournemouth, King ranked at 20 in the list last year.

This season, he's again used his pace, often giving defenders nightmares.

=16. Kurt Zouma (Stoke)

Kurt Zouma has great recovery pace
Top speed : 34.94km/h

Zouma is a surprise name in a list full of wingers, strikers and full-backs.

His pace comes in handy if he needs to recover quickly when caught out of position.

15. Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)

Raheem Sterling has been in devastating form this season
Top speed : 34.97km/h

Sterling has been part of an outstanding City team who are now Premier League champions.

A devastating attacking force this season, he's added goals to his game, scoring 17 in the league so far.

=13. Pierre-Emerick-Aubameyang (Arsenal)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already showed Premier League what he's all about
Top speed : 34.99km/h

Aubameyang moved to Arsenal from Borrusia Dortmund in January and has already displayed high speeds.

Defenders will have to watch out for the striker next year.

=13. Hector Bellerin (Arsenal)

Hector Bellerin likes to bomb on from right-back
Top speed : 34.99km/h

Bellerin has a reputation for being up there with the league's quickest.

He uses his pace to bomb down the right from full-back, aiding Arsenal in attack.

12. DeAndre Yedlin (Newcastle)

DeAndre Yedlin's pace is vital at both ends of the pitch
Top speed : 35.08km/h

Yedlin is another speedy full-back who likes to get forward.

His pace has helped Newcastle in their first season back in the top flight.

11. Jamie Vardy (Leicester)

Jamie Vardy loves to run in behind defences
Top speed : 35.09km/h

Vardy is one of the league’s fastest strikers and is always a willing runner in behind defences.

This year, he's helped Leicester towards a potential top ten finish.

10. Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal)

Laurent Koscielny gives Arsenal recovery pace at the back
Top speed : 35.11km/h

Koscielny is one of the quickest centre-backs in the league and has been a consistent performer for Arsenal in recent years.

9. Kiko Femenia (Watford)

Kiko Femenia has enjoyed a decent debut season in the Premier League
Top speed : 35.12km/h

Femenia is yet another fast full-back who likes to bomb forward and join in attacks.

He joined Watford in summer and has impressed in his first season.

8. Oliver Burke (West Brom)

Oliver Burke has hit a top speed of 35.13km/h this season
Top speed : 35.13km/h

The young winger hasn't had the easiest season at West Brom, but it hasn't stopped him hitting top speeds.

This stat suggests it might have been worth giving him more game time.

7. Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)

Wilfried Zaha is Palace's star man
Top speed : 35.14km/h

Wilfried Zaha has shone in a struggling Palace side.

His pace and skill on the counter attack will be vital if the Eagles survive.

6. Antonio Rudiger (Chelsea)

Leroy Sane continues to improve
Top speed : 35.19km/h

Rudiger's inclusion so high in the list may come as a shock.

His recovery pace is vital for Chelsea, who favour a back three.

5. Kyle Walker (Manchester City)

Kyle Walker has settle in at Man City with ease
Top speed : 35.21km/h

Walker has been part of a thrilling City side who have blown away the competition this year.

His constant running from full-back adds another element to an already exciting attack.

4.Theo Walcott (Everton)

Theo Walcott is now tearing up the Everton wing
Top speed : 35.23km/h

It's no secret that Walcott is very, very fast.

The only difference this season is that he's flying down the wing at Everton, not Arsenal.

3. Moussa Sissoko (Tottenham)

Moussa Sissoko hasn't had much game time, at Spurs but he's not lost any of his pace
Top speed : 35.33km/h

It's fair to say Sissoko hasn't been an overwhelming success at Spurs.

But while his commitment and general quality could be questioned, his pace has never been in doubt.

2. Patrick Van Aanholt (Crystal Palace)

Patrick van Aanholt is the league's fastest full-back
Top speed : 35.42km/h

It's official - Van Aanholt is the fastest full-back in the league.

He enjoys getting forward at every opportunity, often finding himself in goal-scoring positions.

1. Leroy Sane (Manchester City)

Catch him if you can, Leroy Sane is the quickest player in the league
Top speed : 35.48km/h

Sane takes the crown for being the fastest player in the Premier League this season.

He has been part of an electric City team and has played a significant part in their success.

5 Medical Tests You Should Do Before Getting Married

Marriage is a big step, and if you plan to live with someone else for the rest of your life, there are certain medical tests you should do before getting married. It’s great to be in love, but you must be aware of your partner’s health status before you make things official and permanent.
There’s nothing wrong with marrying someone who is not in tip top shape health wise, but you’ll be able to plan better if you know exactly what you’re up against. These tests will help you plan your money and your life to accommodate each other’s health needs. Taking these tests will also help you know if you can live with your partner’s condition or if you’ll need to call it quits.

That being said, here are five medical tests you should do before getting married:

1. HIV/STDs
You really shouldn’t wait till you’re about to get married to check yourself for HIV and other STDs. You need to do these tests regularly, most especially if you’re sexually active. Ensure that you get yourself tested and also see a copy of your intended spouse’s test so you don’t have any suprises when you’re married.

2. Genotype
The earlier you can do this test the better because it helps to know if you’re a carrier of the sickle cell trait (AS).  A lot of people wait until it’s too late to ask about each other’s genotypes and this leads to unnecessary heartache. Yes, it can be weird to ask a person for their genotype before you become official but asking these questions will put you in a better position to decide what you want.

3. Blood Group/Rhesus Factor
It’s necessary to know your blood group as well as your spouse’s. This will help you have the necessary knowledge to handle emergencies. Also with regards to Rhesus factor, it can either be positive or negative. Precautions need to be taken when a Rhesus negative woman marries a Rhesus Positive husband to avoid Rhesus incompatibility issues during pregnancy.

4. Chronic Medical Conditions
There’s nothing wrong with marrying someone who has a chronic condition, but having this knowledge will save you stress and hardship.

5. Mental Health Assessment
With the growing rate of domestic violence related deaths in the country, it’s important for you to know the mental health status of your intended spouse. It seems like a difficult thing to ask but you can and should find a way to discover if your partner has a mental health issue that needs to be addressed. If they do, the sooner they get help, the better.

At Last: A Nigerian University Ranked Among World’s Best

The university of Ibadan has secured a spot in the top 978 ranked universities in the world. In the ranking released by the Times Higher Education, Nigeria’s premier university was ranked 801 alongside several others.

UI was also the only Nigerian university to make the list. Earlier in 2016, the Academic Ranking of World Universities (AWRU) and the Center for World Universities Ranking (CWUR) released a list of the top 500 and 1000 world universities respectively and no Nigerian university was on the list.

CWUR said that Nigerian universities were not considered for the ranking because of lack of quality research.

AWRU, who did not give a reason for Nigeria’s absence, made it clear that the criteria for ranking were the number of alumni and staff publishing journals in Nature and Science, number of alumni and staff winning Nobel prizes and Field medals.

South Africa and Egypt had the highest number of universities on the list from the continent. 63 universities from the United states made it to the top 200 while 32 from the United Kingdom also made the cut.

The United States had 63 universities among the hundreds of schools considered.

How to Call an Unknown Number

An unknown number is a number you don't recognize, while a restricted number is a number with a blocked caller ID. While there are methods you can try, calling an unknown number back is not always possible. When possible, it is not always advisable. Exercise caution when returning calls from numbers you don't know. Only call back if you have good reason to believe that the number that called you belongs to someone you know.

Method One of Four:
Knowing When to Call Back Unknown NumbersEdit
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 1
Listen for single rings. Be suspicious if you hear your phone ring once. A single-ring missed call could be the work of a "crammer": someone who is trying to get you to call them back so they can charge you. If you only hear one ring, don't call the number back. If it wasn't a crammer, it was probably a wrong number. [1]
Telemarketers are required to ring at least four times, or for at least 15 seconds, before they hang up.[2]
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 2
Check the area code. If the number is displayed, look it up online. Crammers call from countries with the same international code (+1) as the USA, so they look like domestic calls. However, if you search the numbers, you can identify them as foreign by their area code.
A good rule of thumb is that if you don't recognize the area code, don't answer.
Many of these calls come from the Dominican Republic (809), Jamaica (876), British Virgin Islands (284) and Grenada (473).[3]
There are also services online that allow you to look up numbers. Search for "reverse lookup" or "find out who called me."
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 3
Check for a message. Someone trying to call you about a serious matter will either leave a phone message or contact you by other means. If you get a missed call from a number you don't know, or a blocked number, it probably isn't important. Don't call back!
If they do leave a message, go ahead and call them back.
Crammers will never leave a message, because they are operating on an extremely limited profit margin and can't afford the international call.
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 4
Watch out for charges on your phone bill. If you notice mysterious charges, especially for something undefined, like "special services" or "premium service," on your phone bill, call your phone carrier and let them know there are unauthorized charges. They will typically reimburse you. [4] [5]
If you have called back an unknown number and have found yourself listening to a recorded message, be extra vigilant with your phone bill. If you called and found yourself listening to an "adult services" recording, expect unauthorized charges.
Don't be embarrassed asking your phone carrier to reimburse you. Scam calls are an everyday problem for them.
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 5
Call the numbers you know. Sometimes scammers will leave a message with a number for you to call. If you get a voicemail or text message from someone who claims to be your bank, your cell phone provider, or a hospital, try calling that entity by the number you have for them, rather than tracing the call.

Method Two of Four:
Using Call Return on a LandlineEdit
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 6
Call immediately. If your landline is called and there is no voicemail, you can use a feature called "Call Return" to call the number back. However, this only works for the last call you received, so you will have to call back before you receive any other calls.

Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 7
Dial *69. When you dial *69, you will be told any registered information about the caller, such as their name and address. You will also be given the option to call them back. Press 1 to call the number once you are prompted. [6]
Dialing *69 tends to cost between 30 and 50 cents a use, unless you subscribe to Last Call Return" through your service provider. In this case, it may cost around 2 dollars a month.
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 8
Expect it not to work. *69 only works on calls from landlines in your area. If you were called from a cell phone, a long distance or international number, a blocked number, or an 800 or 900 number, you will not be able to use Call Return.[7]

Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 9
Dial *89 to cancel. If you do not, Call Return will automatically cancel itself after 30 minutes.[8]

Method Three of Four:
Identifying Restricted NumbersEdit
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 10
Buy an identification service. To retrieve a restricted number, you can pay for a service, such as "Call Unblock" or "Trapcall" that reveals the caller's number. This will only work for smartphones.[9]

Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 11
Check your suggested friends. If you use an app such as Facebook on your phone, you may be able to identify your caller among your suggested friends. The Facebook app spies on your calls and makes friend suggestions based on people who call you. Check through your suggested friends and see if there are any surprising faces.[10]

Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 12
Search unusual messages. If the restricted number left you a voicemail or a text message, search their words online. If the number is not restricted, search the number online too. Scammers may leave the same message on many phones, and those who have been scammed often post warnings online.

Method Four of Four:
Blocking Unwanted CallsEdit
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 13
Block restricted numbers. Contact your carrier and ask them to block restricted numbers from calling you. Each phone company has different methods for blocking restricted numbers from calling your phone. For example, Verizon requires you to sign up for a program called Family Base: once you have signed up, you can use their website to block restricted numbers. At&T requires you to sign up for call screening, at which point you can specify that blocked numbers are to be screened.
If you have an iPhone, you can go into "Settings" and set your phone at "Do Not Disturb," which will prevent anyone not on your contacts list from calling you. However, this could prevent new friends or colleagues from getting in touch.
Contacting your carrier by phone or email to discuss your options.
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 14
Put your number on the federal Do Not Call list. To end phone solicitations, call 1-888-382-1222 (voice) or 1-866-290-4236 (TTY) from the phone you wish to register, or visit www.donotcall.gov and register your number there. After 31 days, all commercial phone solicitations will have stopped. You will continue to get calls from non-profits, individuals, and businesses whom you have given express permission to call you. [11]
Do not give your information to anyone who calls your house claiming to represent the Do Not Call List. They are a scammer: the US Government does not cold call people and volunteer to put them on the list.
Image titled Call an Unknown Number Step 15
File a complaint. If telemarketers continue to call, or if you need to complain about repeat phone harassment, call any of the following numbers to file your complaint: 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322); TTY: 1-888-TELL-FCC (1-888-835-5322); ASL: 1-844-432-2275. You can also go to the Federal Communications Commission website and fill out a complaint form.[12]

If you don’t want to receive calls from unknown callers, you can contact your phone company and ask them to block incoming calls or you can set your mobile phone’s settings to only accept call from contacts listed on your phone books.

If you have an Android, run Android 4.4 (KitKat). This contains a number identification system that identifies the numbers that are safe to call back.

Life at #BBNaija

I know many ladies are watching big brother for fun, but there is a big lesson to learn.. But some of the things that happened between Tobi, Alex, and Cee -C are the reason why some marriages break up,  even some of our boyfriends leave us for another babe.

When Tobi came into the house, he loved Cee-c and gave her so much attention and show her so much love but the lady was possessive, rude  to him.

Alex came from no where and gave him peace of mind,  show him love and play with him,  immediately she won the man's heart and today the man doesn't look else where.

Beauty is not enough to keep a man and not even food, allow him see replicate of himself in you. Men really don't want much,  show him love,  give him peace of mind, don't be too possessive  and above all respect him. Men love their space Biko allow them enjoy it.

As a woman,  know when to stop and don't over  cross your boundaries, if not the person you think is a side hen will take your position.

Lastly beware of ladies who call your boyfriend and husband just a friend,  most of them are your assistant in disguise.

Argue with your data,  I have said my own.
Continue to give him attitude,  someone else will wipe off his tears.

I deserve some accolades 😘😘😘😘

WISE WORDS!!

The next time you feel yourself getting jealous of someone else’s good fortune, think about all the secrets you have been hiding from all the people you love. Think about how shocked they would be if they knew of these terrible wounds you keep inside you. Now look back at the person who you are envious of. Imagine how many secrets they must be hiding. Would you really be jealous of them if you knew all of their pain and all of their deepest, darkest scars ?😊..Be contented πŸ‘πŸ»

Why do people pay $8 for a dessert with no second thought but won't buy a 99-cent iPhone/Android app without thinking hard if it's worth it?

In general, with respect to price psychology, percentages matter. People want to feel that they are getting a fair price.

People get upset if they buy a shirt for 20$ and there is a sale the next day and the shirt sells for 10$. On the other hand, if they just bought a car for 20,000$ and it is 10$ cheaper the next day then psychologically there's much less of an impact there.

It's the same thing with apps. People are conditioned to believe that a number of apps should be free, so the idea of paying 1$ for an app when a free alternative may emerge tomorrow is upsetting for some.

In contrast, the idea of paying a price that reflects market averages for a really good dessert is considered normal and the consumer does not feel taken advantage of.

SΠ΅Ρ… Scandal: OAU suspends Prof. Akindele

The Obafemi Awolowo University has suspended Professor Richard Akindele over the audio conversation in which he demanded sex from a female student.

According to a press statement signed by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, a prima facie case has been established against him.

“Having regard to the gravity of the offence for which Professor Richard I. Akindele is found to be prima facie liable, the Vice-Chancellor, in line with the Code of Conduct for the University Community and acting under all the laws and regulations of the University enabling him in that regard, has directed that Professor Richard I. Akindele be suspended forthwith from the University, pending the final determination of the disciplinary case against him.”

The statement reads:

“Audio Conversation: Obafemi Awolowo University Suspends Professor Richard I. Akindele

The Vice-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has received and considered the interim report of the Committee set up to investigate the allegation of sexual harassment revealed in a recent audio recording.

In the interim report submitted to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, Professor Richard I. Akindele, of the Department of Management and Accounting, is now established to be the lecturer in the controversial “marks for sex” audio recording. The female voice has also been identified as that of Miss Monica Osetobe OSAGIE, a Postgraduate Student on the Master of Business Administration Regular programme.

Although the Investigative Committee had invited both Professor Richard I. Akindele and Miss Osagie, only Professor Akindele had appeared before the Committee, while Miss Osagie is yet to appear or make any representation. The report indicated that many other witnesses appeared before the Committee and gave useful evidence. The University is making efforts to ensure that Miss Osagie appears before the investigative committee so that it can hear her side of the case and promptly submit its final report.

The Committee observed that a prima facie case of inappropriate relationship with the female student had been established against Professor Richard I. Akindele. The Vice-Chancellor, having carefully and dispassionately considered the report, also came to the conclusion that a prima facie case of serious misconduct had been established.

Having regard to the gravity of the offence for which Professor Richard I. Cynthia and bola the two girls amongst us  grab me from behind out of panic, Immediately kola stood up and turn on his touch, but he see nothing,  Kola : guyz calmdown, it’s nothing maybe it’s the air work Bola : kola are you sure? Kola : yes trust me, it’s nothing Before kola could complete that sentence, we heard yet another sound, but this time it’s very loud and clear. Yet the same sound come again and again,  immediately everyone started running heading straight towards the same direction but actually we don’t even know where we were heading to, jahrul looked back and he saw some set of masquerade chasing after us.. Jahrul : see them o! Them de behind us o… ‎We all ran as fast as our leg could, till we get to a certain  point where we no longer see them.. Sege : guyz make we stop, them no fit see us again Cynthia : no o them fit catch us if we wait  for this time na.. Bola : na true o, them fit hide for one place de wait make we relax so that them go catch us .. Kola : muna relax them no fit see us again We all agree to his suggestion since kola is  the boldest among us, We all sit and relax, eventually we started sleeping one after the other Cynthia was the first to sleep followed by blanny, then Chris, bola, jahrul and I while kola and Vincent didn’t sleep, cus they stood to watch and guide us for the night… Around 4 o clock in the morning  bola woke up and she asked jahrul to follow her cus she wana urinate, the two of them went out of our gathering, both of them started discussing some irrelevant stuffs.. bola was the first to make the move, she stood up and undress herself infront of jahrul, jahrul on the other hand respond immediately by giving her a wet kiss of which bola welcomed by holding jahrul’s head, she knelt down and unbuckled jahrul’s belt she pull down his shorts and she brought out his solid hard c--k, she kissed it at first and then started sucking it, as this drama was going on vincent also excused himself from kola, he trailed them down and he hear some romantic sound coming from the other end… Vincent : jahrul, bola!!! What’s happening here? Immediately he landed a hot slap on bola’s face and he gave jahrul a hard punch on his nose, jahrul also punched him back and they started fighting, bola ran down to inform us of what’s going on and we all rushed down there just to find out that jahrul is lying in pool of blood.. I screamed haaaaa!

EPISODE 3

Then I woke up and saw everyone starring at me.. Cynthia  : oga, nawa o wetin make you begin shout like person whey dem they chase so? Blanny : guy wetin happen?  Me : chai! So na dream?  Kola : no nah reality, abeg tell us wetin u see jare… Me : nothing, where jahrul de? Vincent : e go pee Me : bola nko Kola : she go pee self.. Vincent : e don Tey whey dem two don go self mah go check them.. Me : no no, chill dem go soon come I tried my best to stop him from going but he never listen Chris : ben10 wetin de worry u dis days? Person say him wan go check him sister out u de stop am, nawa for you o Sege : ben free am na abi which one be ur own self Me : guyz una no go understand, I know why am doing this Kola : benji just shut up and sit down, your wahala self too much… I tried to hold Vincent down but all of them turn out to pull me back, but before he could go bola was already on her way coming as we all see them even jahrul was coming from the other side, I started thanking my stars on behalf of jahrul cus I know if Vincent actually caught him, he won’t live to tell the story.. We relax for 20 more minutes to prepare our stuff then we proceed with the quest, we were about crossing over a foot bridge when something told me to warn everyone not to look down from the foot bridge, I told everyone this and they all agree..the water was actually as red as blood.. we all were passing over when jahrul had a voice similar to his late mum’s own the person was actually drowning in the river screaming jahrul’s name for help.. Me : jahrul no look down o Jahrul : but na my mama voice I de hear so nah. Me : just de go no look down Jahrul : make I leave am make e drown for this red water ni Me : jahrul shut up nah, abeg no look down if you want to live Jahrul : ben shut up, I go look am and nothing go happen, who even give you the right to lead self, you whey lazy pass fowl so After saying this he looked down from the foot bridge then he slump and fell into the water, the person who was calling him turned to a big crocodile and tore him apart..others screamed and I samba the warning to them that none of them should look down until they drop from the bridge, immediately everyone started running till we finally cross the bridge, we stood there and watch the crocodiles feed on jahrul with eyes full of tears.. Everyone looked at me and they were very surprise to see that am the choosing one the wise herbalist man was talking about.. We all cried a lot cus one of us is gone and what this mean is “death is waving over ours heads” but the question is who next…? Five minutes later, every where became dark and noisy we heard a strange sound coming from the east like that of lion.. Me : something is coming, let’s get out of here We all started running, but everywhere was still dark, I check my watch and it’s 2pm, but everywhere was totally dark, my mind keep telling me there is light after the this very dark edge, I asked everyone to keep running till we get to a place of light.. Then finally we are out of it, but one of us is missing OMG! It’s Bola, Vincent ranted with much anger that can part a bridge, I could feel his pain cus it’s not easy to loose your blood sister to an unknown monster, most expecially when you don’t have the power to save her, we all sympathise with him and for ourselves also, cus we see ourselves as brothers..but deep down inside of me, I know that the reason behind their death is not far fetch, it’s all about s-x.. Finally we set off for the search, we walk for about 3 hours then kola call for a resting time, we sat under a huge strange tree, but we ain’t scared of if cus we already know where we are and monsters are familiar with us, vincent went ahead to sit alone starring at bola’s picture I stood behind him as he soliloquies  Vincent : Bola I could remember when we were young, when I use to scold you for wrong doing, and when our parents died, I always promise to be there for you but I failed..(sobbing) bola I can’t see you anymore, now  staring at your pictures  morning and night has finally took the place of my real bola, it reminds me of those days we spent together at the school , how we discussed about many things, how we exchanged stuffs and how your calls keep my mind alive,  how the thought of you and our discussions gave me hope and reminded me of who I was,and my place of authority in GOD,how I always long to see and be with you, everything is like yesterday when actually in the real sense its now over 20years. I never believed everything could turn this way, the abadonement and neglect. Many times  I was down and needed to speak with someone, but you were no where to be found, that was one of the numerous reasons why  I find it had to give you enough audience when you wants to join the search but you won’t listen . Iron sharpeneth iron, so does a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Bola I miss you…(crying)  Me : hmmm hmmmm(coughs)  Vincent : benji how are you (he said while he used his left hand to clean his face) Me : Am fine, I have been standing right behind you for the past 20 minutes, but you didn’t notice. I also miss my friend jahrul, I miss him as much as you miss bola, cus we have been together for years,  but what can we do about it, she is gone but I believe she is still with u…you have to take heart and act like the strong man you are, be strong brother…I believe you can do it ( I said tapping him from behind)  Vincent : ok, thank you ben ,you are such a kind person (he stood up and walk away)  I stood up and follow him then we heard a loud noise coming from where others gathered..OMG I shouted  vincent : ben what’s wrong? Me : I think something is happening down there, lets go.. We both rush down there but to my greatest surprise what we saw made us dumb for almost 5 minutes

EPISODE 4

We saw everyone sitting calmly as blanny went about to entertain them with some kinda brainy stuff.. His name was blessing , but we called him blanny . He was smooth, malleable as putty, his greasy manners oiled the clogged wheels of the deals that happened in our small town, once in a while. He grew up here, lived among us until nine years ago . When his mother’s death scattered the family in different directions, like the grains of corn from a container that crashed, leaving the blind father stranded, all by himself, waiting on hope, waiting to be picked up, the lone grain buried somewhere in sand, beneath twigs. We always knew that blanny didn’t believe in anything, but we didn’t know what he would do to prove that. He only knew how to work hard, we’d say; he knew how to deal the cards. Late Jahrul , who was his best friend , gave him the alias (blanny), used to say that the boy could sell his mother, that the poor woman had Death to thank, for her second son was scheming to palm her off for a fistful of cash. Who would buy her, for how much, to what use,Jahrul  never said, preferring to intone, ‘If there’s one person who will do anything to get money, it’s he.blanny’ Whenever blanny and Jahrul were together , I stood by the window and watched them at play. ‘blanny!’ Jahrul , hollered as blanny emerged, walking briskly along. ‘Is inside my blood!’ the boy was suddenly gratified. But I know he will miss jahrul so bad… Chris hailed from the gathering “the one and only blanny whey de reason wella” Blanny :Das right. A million stars no equal the single moon.’ Sege :Na You sabi the thing!’ Blanny : Das me you hail.’ Kola : You who come across a rooster on a bushpath and ask, Your feather or your flesh?’ Blanny : Talent senior training. Abinibi pass ability.’ Sege : On account of the new yam you redesign your mother’s facial marks with a machete!’ Blanny now close to his addressor, pulled a face. The mention of his mother was part of the game, but it came too early. The gathering under the strange tree erupted into laughter, and when he made a rude sign at sege nobody really noticed. But I do, from there I cut in… Me : hmmm hmmm! Guyz I fink that should be enough for now, it’s getting late let’s look for a place to sleep… They all stood up in preparation for the sleeping stuff, tonight it’s gonna be me and blanny on guard, we took a walk a bit away from others as we both chatted for 10 minutes till we depart to our post.. I was sitting untop of a tree watching the environment, when I saw something strange coming towards our direction.  Immediately I signal blaNny to inform him about what am seeing and he also responded that he can see everything, at first am unable to get the clear picture of what or who is coming, until  when they edge closer.. I saw two dwarf they both tied red cloth around their waist, white cloth tied on their head, and they both were hawking something best known to them, suddenly I can’t feel my legs anymore, it seems maybe am on air or on water. My head became big I tried to scream but I can’t hear myself screaming.  This continued for 20 minutes till am able to get myself, then I saw blanny also battling the same thing that just happened to me. I dropped down from the tree and I trailed them till they got to the midst of sleeping others. The male one looked at the female and they both shake their head in pity.. Female : what are those strange creature doing here? Male : they are here in search of the Egg OF Life.. When I heard him say that I almost pee on myself cus I was very surprise to see him say that. How did he know what we are here for? I said that in my mind  Female : Don’t they know  that this is the evil forest of the ancestors? Male : maybe, but what I see is that, most of them are here because of wealth  Female : yes, how I wish they know what evil await them on this journey, cus no one come’s here and go freely… Male : would they even get what they want? Cus most of them will fail to keep to the warning given to them.. Female : how I wish they can do that, all of them will survive.. Male : see let’s go, they are too ugly I can’t even stand their irritating smell.. Female : same here  *Watching from distance * I shake my head, nawa o even monster self they talk say we ugly, so monster self the get taste, see as them short and them still dey abuse person, hehehe I laughed, anyways na money cus am. As they were about going, blanny show into the scene and I quickly drag him down.. Immediately two of them halt and look back, blanny want to scream but I covered his mouth with my hands.. Me : *whispering* you de craze? U want make those short things come take us do night suya? Blanny : no vex na fear catch me, wait o e be like say them they come our side o.. Me : make we hide wella.. Female : I think someone is watching us  Male : let’s check… Me : chai see gobe o, we die here *in yaw voice* We hid from their sight as we move from that spot to somewhere else and cover ourselves with leafs ..then they both checked our previous spot…and they walked down to where we are, but they can’t see us cus of the leaf…the female one stand on blanny’s back whilst the male stand on my leg, though them get weight small sha.. Mehn, this short thing go brake my leg here o, I said inside of me, blanny’s eyes don almost turn red like tp and kp’s own when them just kush binish..lol. (in bojan’s voice.. Then I hear something dropping like water on blanny’s body, at first I thought was rain, but the elders say na masquerade whey wan fall him own hand go talk say make rain fall untop him head. So if that’s true why ain’t they running then.. that was when I realise that the female one was urinating on blanny’s body, at first I want to laugh but I know if I try such that will be my end, so I have to stay silent to avoid story that touch.. Female : I can smell something like those one sleeping there Male : yes, it seems some of them are awake Female : I don’t think so, lets go.. They both walk away, blanny stood up as he was soaked with pee. I laughed really hard that everyone almost woke up Blanny : come wetin de funny now? Me : wetin no funny, see as monster pee untop ur head, and na even female monster..hahaha  Blanny : e be like say you de mad.. Me : Na my body you fit get power, if na dat short monster now you no go gree talk.. Blanny : but serious o, dose monster no get brain o Me : why you talk am? Blanny : u no see as that female stand for my back whey she no even notice?  Me : I wonder self. Blanny : nawa o, see wetin money de cause  Me : you even know wetin funny pass? That male monster begin tell him wife say him no fit stand for where we de cus we de smell and we come ugly join Blanny : na thunder go fire them.  Me : abeg make we go our post jare, day go soon brake We both depart to our point, I signal to blanny just to confirm if everything is alright, he signal back that all is well , then I saw something coming but this time it looks more awful and strange, I saw a tall huge looking creature as tall as a nepa poll, his hands were taller than the tree am on, I saw darkness and evil in his eyes, I saw evil wind coming behind it, I quickly signal blanny and we both jumped down from the tree, we rushed to wake others. Immediately we get them informed cus we gat no much time to give them the news in detail, but the problem is where do we run to at this hour of the night? Vincent brought the idea that we should hid somewhere, but kola object him saying it might be very risky cus the monster is very powerful and it moves with wind, we all agree to what kola says, then we put on our touch and we start running, but the problem is we don’t even know maybe we are running towards  his direction or not cus the sound keep booming louder and louder. The day was actually getting brighter, but the moon is still very visible, then something told me we should stop running else we will fall into the deadly monster’s trap, immediately I told everyone to stop running and but some of them disagree saying it’s too dangerous to stop, I warned them that running is more dangerous than stopping after giving them enough excuse, they finally agreed, we all hid ourselves in the bush, then we saw the monster coming from where we all were actually running to..  Cynthia : ah! Tank God o, naso we for enter him hands ni Me : I told you  Kola : so what’s next now?  Me : the search continues ‎ Vincent : so which direction do we go now ? Me : we head west Kola : no , let’s take east Me : why? Kola : cus right from the beginning of this search, you have been directing us as you wish and we won’t take that from you, we are not your slaves and you are not even the strongest here, if you wana lead you have to fight for it..now prove yourself strong (getting ready for a fight)  Me : kola, am not trying to lead am just doing what the spirit tells me, so why are you guys getting upset?  Sege : ben we don’t want you as the leader if you want to lead, then take up the challenge  Chris b : yes ben take up the challenge  Me : ok, I agree with you guys, let kola lead.. Kola : good! We head east and it’s high time we defend ourselves  we have the strength, we don’t have to run always,‎ Me : kola no let’s just keep running we all know we have 4 days left for this search and that has possibly tell us that we don’t have much time. Vincent : hey ben just shut up, u coward.. We followed what kola said, then we get to a river bank, the water is as pure as a crystal clear glass, but to me, it’s as black as a charcoal.. then everyone try to drink from it..I quickly remind them of what the herbalist man told us, yet they never listen then Chris jumped into it and drank out of it, as he was trying to show others that the water is safe , something strange happened

Chimpanzees have cleaner beds than humans, say scientists

The researchers swabbed Chimpanzee beds in Tanzania
Chimpanzee beds are cleaner than those of humans because, unlike us, the animals change their “sheets” every night, a new study has found.
The great apes build complex tree nests out of branches and leaves each day which contain fewer body bacteria than beds in most human households.

By contrast, human beds are teeming teeming with faecal, oral or skin bacteria, according to the new investigation by North Carolina State University. Compared with human beds, the chimp nests had a much greater variety of bugs.
However, they were far less likely to harbour "dirty" faecal, oral or skin bacteria.
"We know that human homes are effectively their own ecosystems, and human beds often contain a subset of the taxa - or types - of organisms found in the home,” said Megan Thoemmes, who led the research in Tanzania.
"For example, about 35 per cent of bacteria in human beds stem from our own bodies, including faecal, oral and skin bacteria.
"We wanted to know how this compares with some of our closest evolutionary relatives, the chimpanzees, which make their own beds daily."
"We found almost none of those microbes in the chimpanzee nests, which was a little surprising,"

The scientists were similarly surprised when they tried to vacuum up parasitic arthropods - fleas and lice - from the chimpanzee nests.
They expected to find hoards of the bloodsuckers, but collected no more than a handful.
Ms Thoemmes said: "There were only four ectoparasites found, across all the nests we looked at.
And that's four individual specimens, not four different species."
She added: "This work really highlights the role that man-made structures play in shaping the ecosystems of our immediate environment.
"In some ways, our attempts to create a clean environment for ourselves may actually make our surroundings less ideal."
Published in the journal Royal Society Open Science, the study is the first to compare the composition of species found in contemporary human homes to that of other structures built by mammals, including those of non-human primates.
The beds made by great apes, be they chimpanzees, gorillas, bonobos or orangutans, are typically used for a single night and then abandoned.
One explanation for such movement is that the practice decreases the ability of pathogens and pests to build up at a sleeping site and reduces the microbial odours associated with the individual that might attract predators.
